Ehawee van B.H.F.
Ehawee ("eh-HAH-wee") is a Lakota Sioux word meaning "laughing maiden." Here at BHF we choose Lakota names for our foals to honor the sacred Black Hills of our home and Tim's Lakota heritage. And this little girl is sweet, friendly, curious and quite "talkative," so this name seems quite fitting.
Ehawee attended her foal Keuring on Oct. 5, 2025, at 4 months old and scored a Third Premie! She is a stout girl with a booty "to make you look!" and will be on the baroque side as she matures. She has a super low inbreeding coefficient of 0.39 & at five generations and 1.22% at six, with a kinship of 17.2%. Her estimated breeding values are: Type: 105; Frame: 106; Feet & Legs: 104; Walk: 107; Trot: 107; Canter: 103.

Ehawee's Dam, Zonne R.S., (Jasper 366 x Fell 422), is an AA Ster Sport mare who excels in driving and dressage. She has produced 3 first premie offspring (with another 2 waiting to come of age for inspection), so we do expect Ehawee will score a higher premie as she matures into herself.
Ehawee's sire, Omer493, Sport AA, is a classically built stallion who produces luxurious foals that excel in sport. He is one of the lowest kinship stallions in North America and has an abundance of mane and feather.

Dakota ("da-koh-ta") is a Lakota Sioux word meaning "friend" or "ally." Here at BHF we choose Lakota names for our foals to honor the sacred Black Hills of our home and Tim's Lakota heritage. And this little boy most definitely wants to be your friend. He LOVES his people. He is so friendly and engaging. He also just that right amount of spice. He is quite the "spicey little nugget!"

Dakota attened his foal Keuring on Oct. 5, 2025 and scored a Second Premie, missing First by 1/2 a point!! Dakota is very athletic and loves to run, trot and even jump! His Sire, Alwin 469 Sport Preferent AAA, has been a public favorite for years with his incredible movement and spectacular trot which he has passed to Dakota! He has an exceptional Ster percentage of almost 70%; 7 Model and 30 Crown daughters, 21 Sport horses and no less than 3 approved sons!

Waiting List Protocol:

You decide which pairing(s) you are interested in and contact us to request to be added to the waiting list. You can choose either filly or colt or both. THERE IS NO DEPOSIT OR COMMITMENT REQUIRED TO BE ADDED TO A LIST!

Within 24 hours of a foal’s birth, we will post the birth announcement and gender on our Facebook page. We will also contact the first person on the list. That person has 48 hours to make their decision whether to place a deposit on the foal or pass.

If the first person passes, we will move on to the next person on the list who will then have 48 hours to make their decision whether to place a deposit or pass. And so on and so on….

When the foal is officially spoken for (purchase agreement signed and deposit paid), we will announce the new owner on our Facebook page and Website!

Should no deposit be placed, foals will continue to be advertised and marketed until sold.
